Nicole Kidman gave birth to a baby girl this morning (July 7, 2008).
The actress delivered her first child with husband Keith Urban in Nashville, Tennessee, it has been confirmed.
The couple have named their daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, and the tot weighed a healthy 6 lbs 7.5 oz.
Spokesman for the pair Paul Freundlich said: "Keith was by Nicole's side, and mother and baby are very well."
Nicole - who also has two adopted children, 15-year-old Isabella and 13-year-old Connor, with ex-husband Tom Cruise - recently revealed she cried the first time she saw her baby on an ultrasound scan.
The "Moulin Rouge" star, who celebrated her second wedding anniversary with Keith on June 25, said: "When I first saw the baby on the ultrasound, I started crying. I didn't think I'd get to experience that in my lifetime. I like the unpredictable nature of it."
"To feel life growing with you is something very, very special, and I'm going to embrace that completely. The whole experience is so primal. But I'm glad I've learned to let things flow."
"I'm now so much more capable of receiving love and giving it in a far different way. So to be given the blessing of a child at this stage of my life, you just say, 'Wow, this was meant to be.'"
Keith, 40, added he was also excited about becoming a father, saying "The unknown excites me a lot."
"What kind of feelings will fatherhood bring? I'm sure I can't even imagine, but I am really looking forward to finding out."
Nicole, 41, reportedly compiled a special soundtrack to accompany the delivery.

Dusty Springfield role for Nicole Kidman
NICOLE Kidman is set to play 1960s singing sensation Dusty Springfield in a new movie.
Newspaper reports in Britain say Kidman will team up with screenwriter Michael Cunningham, who wrote her Oscar-winning role as Virginia Woolf in The Hours, for the film project. The movie will chronicle Springfield's rise to fame, her battle with drink and drugs as well as her bisexual affairs.
Springfield is famous for a string of catchy hits including I Only Want To Be With You, I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself, You Don't Have to Say You Love Me and Son of a Preacher Man.
"It will be the real Dusty, a great artist who no one knew what to do with," Cunningham said.
"But she is going into history with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones."
The 59-year-old Springfield died of breast cancer in 1999.

The Visiting tells the story of Carol, a Washington D.C. psychiatrist with a practice overlooking Freedom Plaza. She has a young son, Oliver, but is no longer involved with his father. Ben (Craig) is her companion and colleague. Not long after a national tragedy has occured, a mysterious "bug" spreads across the globe. Carol's skills as a psychiatrist soon help her recognize a strange pattern that has developed. People are becoming almost emotionless, "oddly somber," and their loved ones all have the same panicked refrain: "He no longer seems like my husband/son/brother, etc." After people she knows begin to change, Carol learns from a doctor that there is actually something inside them, "something completely foreign," that is altering human DNA. Although it has thus far proven resistant to treatment, Carol discovers that the key to combating this otherworldly invader may lie with someone close to her.
