Chris Brown Rejected by Radio; Rihanna Cancels on Jakarta

Chris Brown has been canceled, while Rihanna has canceled once again.

Brown, who's under investigation for allegedly beating his "Umbrella" singer girlfriend, has been completely nixed by a Cleveland radio station. WAKS "Kiss" FM 96.5 has dropped "Forever," "Kiss Kiss" and all other tracks by the 19-year-old R&B star from its onair playlist.

"After the alleged incident, the phones exploded," evening host Java Joel said on the channel's website. "It's all that people wanted to talk about. They were outraged at his alleged behavior and wondered why we were continuing to support his music. I agreed and immediately pulled all Chris Brown songs from my show until this thing shakes out in the legal system."

The station's program director Bo Williams adds, "I then made the decision to rid the whole station of Chris Brown songs while this plays out. We are fans of Chris Brown's music, and this is not something that will last forever. But it appears that Chris has made some poor choices, we are following the lead of our listeners, and we will not be supporting Chris Brown on 96.5 Kiss FM in Cleveland until the alleged situation gets resolved."

In the meantime, Rihanna has scuttled yet another appearance of her own.

The stunning singer will not be performing in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, on Thursday, as originally planned.

This is the second time this particular show has been delayed and it won't likely be rescheduled.

"We spoke to Tony Goldring of William Morris Agency and he said the concert had to be canceled because of an assault case involving Rihanna's boyfriend," local promoter Troy Reza Warokka told Agence France Presse.

"He offered to reschedule but we don't think we'll take it up, not this year at least. This is her second postponement. Her fans are traumatized and we've spent so much money on production and promotional materials."

The "Disturbia" singer postponed her sold-out Friday performance in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, earlier this week.

Nicole Kidman Welcomes Baby Girl

Nicole Kidman gave birth to a baby girl this morning (July 7, 2008).

The actress delivered her first child with husband Keith Urban in Nashville, Tennessee, it has been confirmed.

The couple have named their daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, and the tot weighed a healthy 6 lbs 7.5 oz.

Spokesman for the pair Paul Freundlich said: "Keith was by Nicole's side, and mother and baby are very well."

Nicole - who also has two adopted children, 15-year-old Isabella and 13-year-old Connor, with ex-husband Tom Cruise - recently revealed she cried the first time she saw her baby on an ultrasound scan.

Madonna denies affair, divorce rumours, spiritual outreach

Madonna on Sunday took the rare step of issuing a formal denial of reports linking her to US baseball star Alex Rodriguez and speculation she was to divorce British director Guy Ritchie.

In an exclusive statement released to celebrity magazine People, Madonna poured scorn on suggestions she was in a romantic relationship with New York Yankees star Rodriguez.

The 49-year-old pop icon also scotched speculation that she was seeking a divorce from "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" director Ritchie after seven years of marriage.

"My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce," Madonna was quoted as saying in the People statement.

The singer insisted she only knew Rodriguez because they shared the same manager, Guy Oseary.

"I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez," Madonna said.

Rodriguez's wife Cynthia, who recently gave birth to the couple's second child, was reported to have left the slugger last week, citing Madonna as the cause of her marital breakdown, and alleging Madonna wooed Rodriguez to Kabbalah, a form of Jewish mysticism.

"I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study," added Madonna, who said she issued the statement to distinguish "fact from fiction."

"I have learned over the years not to take accusations and the many false reports about me very seriously," she said.

Jolie Goes Into French Hospital for Birth of Twins

Brangelina's twins aren't here yet, but the big day is drawing closer. The seafront Lenval hospital in Nice in the south of France said Tuesday that Angelina Jolie had checked in at its Santa Maria maternity clinic to be kept under doctors' surveillance and get some rest before she gives birth.

"There's no urgency. It's been planned for a long time," said Nadine Bauer, a hospital spokeswoman. "She's very well. Everything is fine."

"She is not on the verge of giving birth, not at all," she said. "It's not for right away."

The 33-year-old actress will almost certainly remain in the hospital until she gives birth, Bauer said. She said Jolie was admitted recently but would not say exactly when.

Jolie has said the babies are due in August. She and her partner, Brad Pitt, have four children: Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; and Shiloh, 2.

The Brangelina clan has been settling into a new home in the south of France. They recently moved into the Miraval Estate villa in the French hamlet of Correns, in the Provence region. The town's mayor has said the couple have moved in, and a helicopter has been spotted taking off and landing at the site.

Correns is about 60 miles from Nice, a resort on the Mediterranean. Bauer said the hospital faces the sea, is "very modern" and specializes in caring for children.

The hospital is named after Baron de Lenval, who in 1884 donated part of his fortune to start the facility, in memory of his only son, who died in Nice at age 11, the hospital's Web site says. It says the hospital was rebuilt in the 1990s. Photos show a boxy-looking building with a white exterior and mirrored blue windows set among palm trees.

The hospital's address is fitting for the American couple: It's on Nice's California Avenue.

Bard Pitt and Angelina Jolie donate $1 Million to war children fund

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated one million dollars to support the education of 8,000 children in Iraq and the United States affected by war, a charity said Wednesday.

The iconic Hollywood couple made the donation to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict via their charity, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation.

A statement from the Education Partnership said the money would be split evenly between US and Iraq non-profit groups who seek to provide education and support for children who have lost parents, homes or schooling opportunities.

"These educational support programs for children of conflict are the best way to help them heal," Jolie, who has visited Iraq twice in the past year, was quoted by AFP as saying in a statement.

Pitt added: "We hope to encourage others to give to these great organizations."

Pitt and Jolie have given millions to charities in recent years according to tax records. In March it emerged the actors had funneled more than four million dollars each to their foundation, which was set up in 2006 to aid humanitarian causes around the world.

Pitt, 44, and Jolie, 33, are currently reported to be in France ahead of the birth of twins. Pitt and Jolie met on the set of their 2005 film "Mr and Mrs Smith" and later began a romantic relationship.

Pitt was previously married to "Friends" star Jennifer Aniston, while Jolie has been married twice before.

Britney Spears wins night rights to kids

Britney Spears on Tuesday won back the right to have her two young sons stay overnight with her. Spears appeared in court in Los Angeles with her ex-husband Kevin Federline for the custody hearing.

Spears, 26, lost visitation rights to the two children last year during a bout of erratic behaviour that followed her divorce from Federline. But she appears to have calmed down following her forced stay in a mental health facility and the appointment of her father as her conservator.

According to the celebrity website tmz.com, the family court judge, Commissioner Scott Gordon, agreed Spears was once again ready to read bedtime stories to the kids after the singer appeared in person and answered several questions.

"She was very businesslike," court spokesman Allan Parachini was quotyed by DPA as saying.

"Any judge is happy when litigants are making progress."

Paparazzo sues Woody Harrelson for $2.5 million

Woody Harrelson has been sued for $2.5 million by a paparazzo who accused the actor of assaulting him and breaking his video camera two years ago.

According to a lawsuit filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Josh Levine was filming Harrelson in Hollywood late one night in June 2006. He alleges the Academy Award-nominated actor choked him, broke his video camera and ordered his bodyguard to attack him.

Levine's suit says he still has mental, physical and emotional pain from the encounter. He is also suing the unidentified bodyguard.
