Synopsis

In a distant future society, former Marine Jake Sully has lost the use of his legs, and is invited to take advantage of a project taking place on a distant moon called Pandora. This "Avatar" program will allow him to transfer his consciousness into a new body and walk once again. The catch? Jake must use his new body to scout out the beautiful jungles of Pandora and find ways to defeat their native people, the Na'vi, so that the humans can exploit their resources. As he comes to love the Na'vi woman named Neytiri, Jake must turn against his own people to save a civilization.

3 reasons to watch this movie
1 James Cameron is back! Twelve years after "Titanic," he's returned to the director's chair, and he's brought along his "Aliens" leading lady, Sigourney Weaver.
2 You've never seen anything quite like the Na'vi: digitally-created, nine-foot tall blue-skinned aliens who possess feline grace, savagery, and beauty.
3 The performance-capture technology used in the film is unprecedented, but if the film is a success, Cameron will be making it into a trilogy! So if you like what you see, go again and bring three friends!
