Leonardo DiCaprio: Green Idol

Not content to rest on his laurels as an Oscar-nominated international superstar, Leonardo DiCaprio has become one of today's most prominent environmentalists. An outspoken activist who sits on the boards of the Natural Resources Defense Council and Global Green USA, DiCaprio's the rare celebrity who truly walks the walk, driving his hybrid car to his solar-paneled home and co-writing and producing The 11th Hour, a documentary about our planet in crisis. He's a natural fit for our Green Issue portfolio; herewith, some of our favorite portraits of DiCaprio from past issues of Vanity Fair.
