Saul Steinberg
Since 1941, the cover art, cartoons, and illustrations of Saul Steinberg have been a defining presence at The New Yorker. Before his death, in 1999, Steinberg also created sculptural assemblages, printed objects, stage sets, and more. Two shows in New York City celebrate his life, his vision, and his work.

Lillian Ross
The Museum of Modern Art mounts a tribute to the longtime New Yorker writer, with the screening of five films which have been illuminated by her writing. “Pictures in Print: Lillian Ross & the Movies,” presented in the Roy and Niuta Titus Theaters, features films that Ross has discussed and analyzed in her Profiles for the magazine. Ross will be present on February 23rd, when she will take part in an onstage conversation with Susan Morrison, the articles editor of The New Yorker, following a screening of “The Red Badge of Courage” (1951). A book signing will take place in the Titus 1 lobby at 8 P.M. that evening.
